Welcome to a new term! We hope you had a wonderful start of 2021.

We hope you had a rest- and readingful winter break too!

Now, the Vidyalaya Library is going to start a Winter Reading Challenge 2021!

How does it work?
The goal is to complete challenges that will add up to 50 points.
You can pick and choose challenges. You are allowed to repeat a challenge.
You can complete the challenges in any language you wish.
The last day to submit all your work, is the 31th of January, 2021.
With your permission, we would like to post the photos (of your work) or recordings you have created to
complete the challenges, on our library blog.

All participants who have successfully completed challenges adding up to a total of 50 points, will receive
a certificate of the Winter Reading Challenge 2021.

5 point challenges


❏ Make a selfie with your favorite book(s).
❏ Draw your favorite character or scene from a
story you like.

10 point challenges

❏ Draw the beginning, middle and end of a story
you know.
❏ Pick a story. Draw the characters, setting,
problem and solution.
❏ Make a list of fairy tales, fables, myths or legend
stories you know.

15 point challenges
❏ Rewrite an ending of a story you know.
❏ Rewrite the beginning of a story you know.
❏ Write a book review. Include a photo of the
book cover.

20 point challenges

❏ Write a winter story.
❏ Create an information fact sheet about a winter
celebration from anywhere around the world.
❏ Read a book that’s been made into a movie.* Then
watch the movie. What were the differences? What
did you like better, the movie or the book? Why?
❏ Draw a magic fantasy animal you made up yourself.
Describe where it lives, how it behaves and what we
can learn from it.
