ABOUT THE LIBRARY

The School Library of Kendriya Vidyalaya Ghumarwin caters to the information needs of 18 staff and 341 students (Class I to X). The KV Ghumarwin Library is automated and offers online services to the members of the library through its library blog.

The School library has a collection of over 13350 books and 4 periodicals. The library also has educational and general multimedia and a career guidance section.

Opening Hours: The library is open every school day from 08:30 a.m. to 02:40 p.m.
Library Periods: According to the school timetable the students of Class VI-X can visit the library for the issue and return of the books during their library periods. They can refer books and participate in library activities during this time. For junior classes (Class I-V), class library is there.
Borrowing information: Students:02 book for a period of 14 days. Faculty and staff: Maximum 05 books for a period of 15 days.
Class Libraries: Class libraries are functioning for classes I to V.
Open Access and Classification: The library follows an open access system. The books are classified and shelved accordingly.
Library Automation: The stock and services of the library are automated powered by e-granthalaya software provided from National Informatics Centre, Department of information Technology, Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Government of India. The software has been designed by a team of experts from software as well as Library and Information Science discipline.

The library offers online services through Library Blogs, Digital Repository and via E-mail/Whatsapp.
